DID SOMEONE SAY PREORDER ART?!?!
We're getting closer to pub day, and what's a better preorder incentive than a smokin' hot art print?! Plus, find out how things have been these past few months.
I just did my first official LUST CRUSADE interview yesterday, and it reminded me of two things: 1) THE LUST CRUSADE comes out in a little more than two months, and things are starting to get real! (cue panic). But more importantly, 2) I freaking LOVE this book.
Now that we’re inching closer to pub day, it’s time to announce my preorder campaign! All preorders from my local indie, Third Place Books, will come signed and will include an exclusive art print by Britt Anderson. For all other preorders, if you fill out this form and provide proof of purchase, I will mail you a copy of the art print and a signed bookplate! Now, let’s take a look at this GORGEOUS piece:
¡Ay, Dios Mío! This scene, which I oh so cleverly refer to as “the bathtub scene” (what can I say, I’m a real wordsmith), is probably my favorite of the book. There is so much tenderness in this moment, mixed with soooo much tension. These two are DOWN BAD for each other. And Britt managed to perfectly capture this moment that up until this point only lived in my head. Plus, they’re so freaking hot! The sultriness in their eyes. The gold chain. The slutty little glasses. The tattoo that’s just barely peeking out on the side of his body. I love it.
THE LUST CRUSADE comes out on January 13, 2026, so make sure to get your preorders in before then!
LIFE UPDATES
I can’t believe it’s already November. So much has happened since I last sent out a newsletter. Here’s a quick recap:
I’ve gone to several book events, both as an attendee and as a convo partner: Isabel Cañas, Chuck Tingle, Mazey Eddings, Sarah Hawley, Rachel Runya Katz, and Alexandria Bellefleur.
I visited my fam in Ohio and saw my book on the front table at my hometown library!
I got some words written on my new manuscript, which I’ve just been referring to as my “pirate book” (again, I’m great with words).
I married my friend! No, I didn’t get married again, but I did officiate my friend’s beautiful wedding, the one and only Jen Comfort, CP extraordinaire!
I went to Steamy Lit Con!!
And finagled one of these bags with Ashley Jordan!
And dressed up for Halloween!
And sang karaoke!
And had an all around great time.

All in all, it’s been a busy yet fun couple of months. And now we’re in my favorite season, where I wake up to the fireplace roaring and get to snuggle with Henrik while I read all the books while I listen to the rain. Ahhhh…
That’s it for now. Happy Fall, Y’all!
